I think this is the beginning of a possible side story. The Manga is on issue 506. The events that just happened are issue 450. Don’t know how far ahead they want the manga.

Guz kindly bycott this episode they don’t desreve our veiwership with such lame episodes.

I prefer fillers to nothing, if they really have to give time for the manga, I guess I don’t mind fillers, either that or nothing at all… My choice’s made.

Looks to me like they are setting up Sasuke’s story. It starts with that comment about whole family killed. I can’t remember when the Manga covered that but I do know that this little side bit did not come right after the battle.
