OMG IT ALL A DREAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sniff………. sniff……. what a happy ending
A dream…. I am so happy it ended like that. I was going crazy how the story started going downhill with epic sadness. i saw the whole second half of this season in one night and was tearing up the whole time and was wondering how in the world you could end the story after those events. YEAH Only a dream, finally feeling happy right now.
Masterpiece
wasn´t that a stupid way to end the series? o.0
Masterpiece indeed…
I rate this anime the toppest of the toppest of all animes ever made… O_O
i love this anime but i dont get it was it all a dream that she died? both Nagisa and Ushio? or was it real? i seriously cant wrap my head around this anime its so confusing!
well this is the end of the journey, it sure had it ups and downs but i’m satisfied
epic fucking win
i dont have to kill someone now
That was a long dream XD
well now i have another reason to gol to japan and kill, the producer put me in sadness for this T-T so many time that i feel myself so awfull i want to kill im so badly!
Lol well haha good and bad ending
Im glad that was all a dream this would of been shitty if they would have chosen to kill off Nagisa and their daughter
Y was the dream six episodes long ?
im extremely happy now i kept not wanting to finish this because it was so sad but now i dont have to waste money to go to japan to help stive kill someone
*SPOILERS*
After watching this a second time I don’t think it was a dream as some people said, that’ a little too shallow. Remember the light orbs at the end of most of the character arcs? Those orbs are a myth that if you get enough you get one wish. After Ushio died Okazaki wanted Nagisa to save Ushio, and that was his one wish. The city was “The place where dreams come true” and all the helpful things Okazaki did for everyone throughout the series led up granting his wish in the end.
kazu is right. i hope you guys will rethink this through and maybe even do some research on the origin of the whole Clannad story. to help clear things abit, i cant rmbr which eps it was, but it showed Kotomi talking about how she followed in her parents footsteps, doing research on “the other world”, which she explains, is the possible existence of alternate dimensions and parallel worlds. i suppose some of these worlds are almost exact replicas of each other, and sort of represent different outcomes and possibilities when a person makes a choice, an example being if you come across a forked road, going either left or right will lead you to different places, outcomes, futures etc. Ryou also mentioned that there is no single-pathed future, and that the fate of a person isn’t restricted to one path but many, depending on the choices one makes during the course of his or her life.
theres also the issue with the orbs. If you guys can rmbr, miyazawa yukine talked about the legend of these orbs that appear when moments of true happiness take place and that people who retrieved these orbs would get one wish. tomoya did quite a few things that helped a whole bunch of people so he managed to get those orbs (though he didnt really realized) and it was enough for his wish to be granted.
then theres the thing about the girl and the robot. to be honest, thats probably the one thing in the whole series that i dont fully understand. i do know that the robot somehow represents the existence of tomoya in that world (the alternate dimensions thing), while the girl represents ushio. her existence in that world was somehow needed for tomoya’s wish in the present world, which is probably why there was the scene of her disappearing. im not sure about it though so if someone can explain better, pls do.
theres still some other stuff that i probably forgot to explain so if there is be sure to ask, and ill try my best to answer. so there you have it. it wasnt a dream, but in actual fact, his existence in the current world was entirely brought over to another alternate reality on a different plane of existence where the future that awaited him would be one whereby nagisa survives after giving birth to ushio, and they continue living as a family.
not a very realistic ending, but it is an anime after all, and was based off a visual novel, so i personally found it good and simple. matching that with the indescribable, enchanting story that led to this point, id say Clannad is and probably will be the best anime of its genre and possibly of all time. thats all for my wall of words, dont die from reading it.
wow i spent like 20 min writing that.
a much better ending then the movie. anyone agree?
Awesome .. i’ve watched this anime bunch of times , never get tired of its epicness …
The series is million times better than the movie , the movie just sucks ..
i love it. perfect ending.
All I can say is… Perfect.
I was glad it had a good ending this was the 1st anime i cryed for both happy and sad tears.
OMGGGGG THE ANIME FINISHED DAM IT!! perfect..
What a relief, now i don’t have to go on being depressed.
That was a great ending, i knew those orbs of light would grant his wish, but i didn’t think it would rewind time all the way back to the day of Ushio’s birth.
I guess he needed to experience complete and utter despair and still move on and make other people’s lives happy to prove himself worthy of another chance through life. I wonder if he remembers anything that happened in the “sad” future though?
Well, whatever the truth is, this is obviously one of the best, if not the best, most touching, beautiful and genius anime.
This story really has a lot of life lessons in it, and shows the importance of many things in our lives.
Again, that was a perfect way to end it. Seeing Nagisa alive again and being able to raise Ushio with Tomoya was wonderful.
why do u guys write so long like junlepenguin
nice and sucky ending to the story it ended in that he was just in a dream and nice cuz his wife and child is safe.
watch it tells the story it has some good parts in them some sad ones 2
I love this anime. You know what I did first thing after finishing? I cried. Know what I did next? I made EGGS. Because nothing goes better with eggs than tears of joy. MMMMM-mm.
It wasn’t all just a dream. There is so much more to this story. You just have to piece it all together.
10 over 10 rating for an EPIC ending in this EPIC ANIME, more deeper meanings until the very end.. i burst in to tears from the very beginning of the episode and at the scenes while someone was singing. i can’t put more words into this anime this is just so good! it made you laugh and cry all the time but at the same time made you open up your eyes to a world you never knew and made you understand things you don’t care about. i didn’t expect for a much more better ending than this.. the author of this anime is really a genius! a true poet! hate to brag about this but, it’s much more better than movies! he really knows how this world works. i love this anime, i’ll never forget this anime even on the day i die.
Second time through this anime, head hurts from crying too much, Clannad is just too good for words.
wow i forgot why i hated watching this show so much but now i remember it me cry so much but with all the tears i got to say this is an all time favorite
LOVE THIS ANIME! <3 <3 <3 I honestly think that nothing else might be able to compare to this… I stayed up super late trying to finish this… like until 2 in the fridging morning! on a school night/day
lol
* most definitely not a dream
Best anime ever. Tomoya + Nagisa + Ushio for life!
